Acceleris provides corporate finance advice and raises funds for early and development stage businesses and is is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

To date funds in excess of £25m have been arranged into 30 companies through more than 70 transactions, working alongside fund managers such as YFM Group, Enterprise Ventures, Merseyside Special Investment Fund, and Close Ventures.

Deal Flow
Acceleris has a pipeline of opportunities that could take investment in the next twelve months, and also has good working relationships with regional venture capital managers that also have invested in seed capital situations that may be ready for follow on 'matched' investment.
 The next 12 months could yield some exceptional opportunities to invest on good terms into some attractive companies. In the current economic climate many small profitable companies are experiencing difficulty accessing traditional bank finance and are turning instead to private equity solutions.

Norman qualified as an Accountant in 1981. Since that time he has worked as a Management Consultant for Price Waterhouse and has held various board level positions in manufacturing companies. In 2005 he completed a Masters Degree in Finance and Accounting, and he is an approved person on the FSA register. He was a founder of Acceleris, and has provided corporate finance advice and arranged business angel and venture capital funding for high growth private companies over the last 10 years. He has direct experience of the problems facing start-ups, university spin-outs and early stage technology companies when raising capital, and continues to be involved in a non-executive or advisory role to several of the companies advised. He is an active member of the EIS Association.

Simon joined Acceleris in December 2004 having graduated from university with a BA (Hons) Degree in Accounting & Finance. He has since completed the certificate in Corporate Finance and is an Approved Person on the FSA Register.

Simon has advised on over 30 transactions for private and listed SME's and worked on fundraisings with both VC's and High Net Worth individuals.

He is responsible for liaising with several client companies of Acceleris and also provides company secretarial and accountancy services to such companies.

Following his Masters degree in Operational Research at the University of Birmingham, apart from a brief spell at the Manchester Business School, David has spent the whole of his working life in stockbroking. He has almost 35 years' experience in stockbroking and corporate finance and, in the last nine years has advised more than 20 companies on their admission to AIM.

In 1975 he was recruited to establish an Investment Research Department for stockbrokers Charlton Seal Dimmock & Co. and, having been made a Partner of the firm in 1980, subsequently founded a Corporate Department for the firm. Upon the acquisition of Charlton Seal Limited by the Benchmark Group (a publicly quoted merchant bank), he was appointed a main board Director of Benchmark and Chief Operating Officer of Charlton Seal Limited. He became Deputy Managing Director of the stockbroking division of the Group in December 1990.

In May 1995, he joined WH Ireland Limited where he was Managing Director and Head of Corporate Finance for 14 years. During that period, WH Ireland grew from one office with a turnover of less than £1 million to 12 UK offices and an Australian subsidiary with turnover in excess of £30 million.
