20 years advising the UK’s most ambitious technology SMEs

Founded by Norman Molyneux in 2000 to assist in the access to capital for early stage technology SMEs, Acceleris continues to lead the way.

Acceleris exists to support technology entrepreneurs and their growth ambitions. Technology development continues to change the world, providing significant opportunity alongside huge challenge.

Not all technology reaches commercialisation and success can be affected by a number of risk factors from within the organisation as well as with systemic risks out of management’s control.

Embracing traditional merchant banking values, Acceleris work to identify how to best mitigate risk and align the correct investment partners to achieve success.

Executive Chairman

Norman qualified as an accountant in industry and worked in numerous senior financial roles before entering the world of smaller company finance in 2000, as a founder of Acceleris Capital.  He completed research as a mature student that led to a keen interest in helping entrepreneurs develop successful companies. During this time Acceleris has helped start over 50 businesses with game-changing ideas and technologies.

He enjoys working with and advising serial entrepreneurs and growth companies and continues to work to improve the flow of early stage capital so vital to success at all stages of a company’s evolution.

The capital markets in the UK continue to be attracted to added-value technologies, but the UK has to compete on the world stage for both innovation and capital allocation. Norman believes investment in the intellectual capital in the UK is a key mechanism for improving the economic growth.

Norman is a lay council member of the University of Liverpool, sits on the Advisory Board of the University of Liverpool Management School and is a member of the Regional Advisory Group of the London Stock Exchange.
